Health and Safety Program

Radium Industrial has been establishing a Health and Safety program since the start of our business. We believe that by maintaining a balance with service and safety we can create an injury free workplace. Our goal is to ensure that all workers make it home safe at the end of their day or career.

Our program is a fully integrated system that includes some of the following major elements:

• Hazard Identification and Assessment
• Workers Performance Review and Evaluation
• Orientation Program
• Substance Abuse and Testing Policy
• Preventative Maintenance Program
• Competency Training
• Safe Work Practices and Procedures
• Emergency Response Procedures

Radium underwent it's second external audit in January of 2007.  Radium received exceptional scores in all areas of it's superior safety program and continues to remain a COR recognized company which proves it's ongoing dedication to being an industry leader when it comes to SAFETY SERVICE and RELIABILITY. Radium received exceptional scores in all areas of its Superior Safety Program. And we are now a COR recognized company which proves its ongoing dedication to being an industry leader when it comes to safety and environment. The audit showed very clearly that the entire team was very committed to the program and not just management. If Safety is a priority for your company, you can look to Radium.

Partnerships in Safety

Radium has aligned themselves with many professional organizations to ensure that they are meeting all of the industry demands. We are an IRP 16 compliant organization and all workers are trained in the PST (Petroleum Safety Training) system. In doing this, we are able to take part in different training and information seminars available.

• CSSE - Canadian Society of Safety Engineers
• PSC - Canadian Petroleum Safety Council
• Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce

Safety Supervision

Radium Industrial's safety supervisor is available 24 hours a day to assist with any safety concerns or recommendations. Our safety supervisor is a certified Occupational Health and Safety Officer.

If you require any information on our Health and Safety program, we would be glad to share it with you. We currently follow-up on all incident investigations, safe work permits, hazard assessments and emergency response plans. If you require any of the above information concerning your organization we are able to provide it to you upon request.
